About Us
Young Regional School of Music (YRSM) is a non-profit community organisation which has been bringing quality music education to Young and the surrounding districts since 1984.
1996 saw the inclusion of the Music School into the Association of
NSW Regional Conservatoriums.
In response to community demand, the Young Regional School of Music continues to explore new avenues for students to expand their musical experiences and so gain a
life long love of music.
Young Regional School of Music aims to provide, promote and develop musical
education in the Young Region.
Our activities include:
- Individual, shared and group lessons on many instruments (including voice)
- Schools programs such as drum corps, choirs, bands and individual lessons
- A creative music program for 2 - 5 year olds
- Ensembles
- Concert series with visiting professional musicians
- Music therapy sessions
All families receive a Music School Term Newsletter, ‘Finely Tuned’, informing them of events and happenings within the Music School
Students receive written reports from their tutors at the end of each semester.
