Micheile Blunt

As a musician, living and working in regional NSW, I have been afforded unique opportunities which enable me to cater for the needs of a wide range of clientele and bring a wealth of experience in teaching to my music students.

I have worked extensively with NSW Regional Conservatorium’s, holding long term teaching positions in more than ten schools in the public and private sector. I worked collaboratively with Parkes TAFE campus to bring music programs to schools in remote locations, through video conferencing.

Completing a Licentiate in Piano, I worked with performer Barbara Bruce, a student of Australian composer and pianist Miriam Hyde, former director of NSW Macquarie Conservatorium, Kathy Pingley and West Australian pianist and AMEB examiner, Wallace Tate.

In 2019, I completed my Certificate of Performance with the AMEB in Singing for Leisure, receiving an Honours under the direction of singing teacher and vocalist Judy Barker & music educator and AMEB examiner, Richard Morphew.

I am passionate about promoting mastery of craft and developing individual excellence in music. My students are encouraged to express themselves through their music; to seek the beauty and character of composition. My studio maintains strong numbers with students receiving excellent results in both written and practical examinations.
